Content Management System (CMS) Website

What is a CMS?

A Content Management System, or CMS for short, enables websites to be administered online by the end user, rather than relying on the web developer for changes. In fixed or ‘static’ websites, any content changes need to be entered in HTML code, with files uploaded manually to a web server. With a CMS, page changes, multimedia uploads and more can be performed within a simple web interface with no technical expertise needed.

These types of websites are best suited to clients wishing to make regular site updates themselves, such as maintaining a News page, adding regular event details etc. Site owners who are only looking at making occasional changes to website content may be interested in the Basic website.

UnifiedOne uses the widely-used Joomla! and WordPress Content Management System, integrated with fully customised site designs.

WordPress is a simple Content Management System used extensively on blogging sites. The WordPress CMS, like Joomla!, enables users to edit and maintain their own page and multimedia content. Many WordPress sites are designed to support regular site updates or ‘posts’, so are suited to sites with regularly updating news content or information. However, WordPress can also be used will fully-functional menu-driven sites.
